Poem - What I am not.
Written at Zensi Retreat.
Upon this journey, this life, this game, I am coming to terms that I am not my name..
I am not the stories that are constantly relied on for narration..
That right there is the main complication.
As we get so caught up with who we are, with who we want to be.. It leaves no room for our souls spontaneity.
I also am not these emotions that take up my minds thoughts…
Though it’s hard to disidentify from what I’ve been taught.
For we live our life in our heads (it’s no wonder why the worlds on meds) as we give our undying attention to its chatter, it’s manic bias ideas that really don’t matter.
This is where I have seen so much struggle in my past, as quite simply, I forgot to ask..
‘Who is it that is experiencing these feelings, these highs and lows?’ as the egos identity doesn’t want to let go.
It wants to string you along and believe all that it is saying, but when you remove this insanity, only one thing will remain...
And yes, this body I inhabit is of its own unique creation, but this is not a true representation, of who and what I am far exceeds
the confinement of our physical reality.
As I sit with this deep wonder, I feel a gentle breeze, in that exact moment a complete comprehension that what I am, is not what I am able to see.
It’s in the background, in the periphery, waiting there silently for me, to set myself free.
This place of conscious awareness has no beginning, no end, no one destination.
To be the experiencer of it all is of great liberation.
In this simple understanding the pains and sufferings of being caught up pretending to be a human begin to fall..
To fall off their thrown of validity that they once sat, where I unknowingly listened to their every order, their every command,
But now.. it’s time, to take my power back.
So I end with this note to let you know that you too are far greater, don’t limit yourself to the world of 3D, you are far beyond what your eyes can see.
Your mind may play tricks, make believe, but trust me,
You are a Consciousness with unlimited capacity.
